Clark County Animal Shelter hoping for restoration soon

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Clark County Animal Shelter is waiting for some final clearances before restoration of the facility can begin.

This after a fire started in the laundry room of the shelter back on April 13th.  15 dogs were in the building at the time, but all were rescued and are in good condition.

According to The Winchester Sun newspaper, the building will have to be rebuilt.

The shelter director says she is waiting for information from the insurance company, but says restoration of the shelter could begin as early as this week.
