City’s Storm Cleanup Continues Wednesday

Wednesday the city continues to send extra crews to clean up after 95 mile an hour winds left streets looking like what some people described as a war zone.

Piles of tree limbs still lined sidewalks in the Coldstream Station and Highland Park neighborhoods after Sunday’s storm.

Lexington’s Division of Waste Management officials said they are sending three rear-loader trucks and a knuckleboom truck to help.

They asked residents cut tree limbs to sections of four feet or less in length.

Also, they requested residents separate material off of houses from tree limbs.
