City Budget announced

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — The office of Mayor Jim Gray announced that the new city budget has been completed. Lexington’s $324 million spending plan will begin on July 1, marking the start of the new fiscal year.

A few topics being funded in the budget include:

Public Safety, including funding for police body cameras and 10 new officers. ($175.5 mil)

Parks & Recreation ($20 mil)

Lexington’s Historic Courthouse ($22 mil)

Road Paving ($12.4 mil)
