City Ambulance Involved In Collision In Lexington

A city ambulance was involved in a collision Friday evening in Lexington, according to police.

Investigators said a woman driving a Honda Accord on South Broadway side-swiped a city ambulance at Bolivar Street just before 8:00 p.m.

Police said the ambulance was not on a run at the time and that there was not a patient in the unit.  No one in the ambulance was hurt.

Police said the woman suffered a minor hand injury and was treated at the accident scene.

Police said the air bags did deploy in the woman’s car.

The ambulance had to be towed from the scene, according to police.
