“Cinderella” – The Lexington Ballet
A classic story, beautifully choreographed, Luis Dominquez and Ayako Hasebe Lloyd, with The Lexington Ballet, drop by the studio to talk with Meteorologist Eric Burke about their upcoming production of “Cinderella.”
The timeless tale of Cinderella comes to life in a production that will delight the entire family. The story follows the rags-to-riches story of a young girl from a small village who is mistreated and forced to labor for her cruel stepmother and stepsisters. With the magical assistance of a fairy godmother and her helpers, Cinderella is given an opportunity to attend a royal ball thrown by the handsome prince. Join Cinderella as she finds love and transforms from a humble serving maid into a beautiful princess.
Complete with lavish sets, sumptuous costumes and set to Sergei Prokofiev’s glorious score, The Lexington Ballet performs this beautiful two act masterpiece under the artistic direction of Luis Dominguez. It will have you believing in fairy tales.
Two performances will be held on Saturday, April 15th at 2:00 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. at the Lexington Opera House.
