Cincinnati to offer new flights as summer travel takes off

CINCINNATI, Oh. (WTVQ) – The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and United Airlines will be launching new service to four leisure destinations beginning May 27 and May 28.

The new flights on May 27 include flights to Pensacola, Florida (PNS) leaving CVG at 10:15 a.m. and Hilton Head, South Carolina (HHH) departing CVG at 1:37 p.m.

The May 28 flights start with Portland, Maine (PWM) leaving CVG at 8:35 a.m. as well as Charleston, South Carolina (CHS) with a 2:30 p.m. departure from CVG.

Each new flight will operate three days a week. For each route, United is offering its upgraded premium regional jet service with 10 First Class, 20 Premium Economy and 20 Regular Economy seating configurations.

According to CVG Airport, the four destinations complement United’s existing year-round and seasonal nonstop service to Chicago (ORD), Denver (DEN), Houston (IAH), Newark (EWR) and Washington, D.C. (IAD).

As flyers head in to summer travel season, CVG has been experiencing higher volumes of departing passengers with daily highs in the 10,000 range.
