Church van stolen in Laurel County
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A church in Laurel County is missing its van.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, the van was stolen from Victory Baptist Church off Hammons Lane near London.
Deputies say church officials tell them they last saw the vehicle on Sunday and noticed it missing on Wednesday.
Victory Baptist Church says the vehicle is described as a Navy-colored, 15-seat, Chevrolet 3500 van with the name of the church painted on the side.
The sheriff says there have been reports that a vehicle similar to the stolen church van has been seen in the Laurel County. They also say the vehicle seen driving in the area has a brown stripe painted over where the wording for Victory Baptist Church would have been.
