Chuck Williams Honored In Annual Toy Program
The name of a fallen firefighter lives on with a charity that marks its 17th year this December.
Chuck Williams passed away in 1997 while fighting a fire. The floor he was walking on during a house fire caved in and he and another firefighter fell.
His fellow firefighters said when Williams wasn’t working, he was taking part in auctions. That’s why each year since his passing, firefighters hold an auction for the toy program.
If you didn’t make it to the auction there are still ways you can benefit the toy program.
You can drop toys off at any Lexington fire station between now and December 11th. Toys should be new, unwrapped and appropriate for ages newborn to 12.
