Christmas lights stolen from Lexington front yard
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington woman says she woke up and her Christmas decorations had been stolen from her front yard on Meadow Lane.
Bonita Redmond says this isn’t the first time it has happened.
“I was livid, I was just so angry,” said Redmond about when she noticed her Christmas lights were missing.
Redmond hadn’t decorated for years because she was afraid something would happen again.
Years ago, she says her reindeer were stolen, another year inflatable decorations destroyed and now she says a laser light was taken.
“I’m still going to celebrate the holidays but I’m too scared and afraid to put anything else in my yard,” said Redmond.
She hopes to get surveillance cameras installed before redecorating.
Each time, Redmond has reported the theft or damage to the police. Lexington police say no other homes in her area have been targeted by vandals.
