Winchester Christmas Market and parade to bring ‘storybook’ magic to downtown

WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Winchester and Clark County are getting ready to kick off the holiday season with a full day of Christmas cheer, starting with the Winchester–Clark County Farmers’ Market annual Christmas Market and ending with the 2025 Christmas parade downtown.

Organizers say the Christmas Market will be held Saturday, December 6, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Depot Street. Shoppers are invited to come out, stock up on their favorite local goods, purchase Christmas gifts and support local makers, bakers and farmers.

The market also doubles as a chance to catch up with friends and neighbors as the community gets into the holiday spirit.

Later that evening, the 2025 Christmas parade will roll down Main Street. This year’s theme is “A Storybook Christmas.”

Organizers say Main Street will be transformed into a holiday scene inspired by classic Christmas tales, with entries designed to look like they’ve stepped right off the pages of a favorite storybook. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, at 6 p.m.

Anyone interested in participating in the parade can still sign up. Registration is open until Friday, November 21. For more information or to register, participants can contact Whitney Leggett at wleggett@winchesterky.com.
