Christian charity met with gunshots and kidnapping in Haiti
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) — A missionary group was met with gunfire this week, resulting in five injured and one woman kidnapped.
According to the facebook page of ‘Hugs From God Missions’, a small group of churgoers and pastors were on a missionary trip to Haiti when their vehicles were ambushed and shot. When one vehicle was able to outrun the shooters, they turned on the other.
“They turned around and ambushed our 2nd vehicle with our worship team and instruments. They stole the truck & kidnapped Madam Noe and beat the driver. Pastor Frisnel and Pastor Bill both shot in the leg, Frisnel’s daughter in the ankle, Melitha in the hip.”
They reported that Madam Noe was found alive in the morning, and she has since returned to them.
The group says that three members will return to the USA today, including Pastor Bill, while a few others will return June 29, after finishing their mission.
Hugs from God Missions says they are a non-profit charity, and that their goal is to spread the love of Christ to those in need, working with local communities.They are based out of Richmond, Kentucky.
