Children feared inside burning home but were actually out of town with family

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some tense moments for firefighters in London on Sunday.

According to Lily Fire And Rescue, firefighters were called to a report of a car on fire near a home. Then, a short time later, they received another call that the home was on fire and there may be children trapped inside.

Firefighters arrived, put out the fire and did a check of the home. They were unable to locate anyone in the home.

They say the landlord was able to contact the family who lived there and found out they were all out of town.
