Child hit and killed by car in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A family is dealing with the loss of an 8-year-old little girl who was  hit and killed by a car in Louisville Saturday night.

Police say the girl was hit by a car on Cypress Cove Drive near the Bardstown Forest Apartments around 8 p.m.  Officers say she was leaving a playground when the car hit her.

She was transported to Kosair Children’s Hospital where she later died. 

A woman was driving the car, but so far, no one has been charged.
