Cranberry Poppy seed Slaw

  • 2 bags of coleslaw mix
  • 1 cup of dried cranberries or pomegranate
  • 1 bottle of poppyseed dressing
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Mix all the ingredients together in a large glass bowl and stir. Chill for about 30 minutes (optional if you have the time) and serve.

Maple Glazed Green Beans

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

3 cups cut fresh green beans

1 large onion, chopped

4 bacon strips, cut into 1-inch pieces

1/2 cup dried cranberries

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 tablespoon bourbon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

 

PREPERATION:

 

 

In a large skillet, cook onion and bacon over medium heat until bacon is crisp; drain. Add the beans, cranberries, syrup, bourbon if desired, salt and pepper; saute on low to medium heat until the beans have softned a bit but still crisp to the bite.  Enjoy!
