Chase at Fayette-Bourbon line ends with car on its top

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A pursuit in Central Kentucky tonight ended with a car on its top. State police say they were stopping vehicles at a safety checkpoint on Bryan Station Road, near the Fayette-Bourbon county line. Troopers say they were detaining 21-year-old Anthony Dixon when he suddenly drove off. Investigators say Dixon lost control and crashed at Bryan Station and Briar Hill, causing the car to flip and catch fire.

According to state police, Dixon, Nancy Reed of Georgetown and a juvenile all ended up at U.K. Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers say Dixon is charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading and other charges. Reed is accused of criminal mischief.
