Charged coach banned from high school games

BENTON, Ky. (AP) — A former high school football coach charged with sending inappropriate message to a teenager has been barred from high school games while he awaits trial.

WPSD-TV in Paducah reported (http://bit.ly/ZwN0pE ) that Judge Craig Clymer ordered one-time Marshall County coach Ron Barnard to say away from high school athletic functions.

Clymer made his ruling on Thursday.

Marshall County detectives say Barnard asked for naked pictures of a teenage student and sent naked pictures of himself through social media. A grand jury indicted him on three felonies, including first-degree sexual abuse, as well as a misdemeanor.

Barnard will be back in court on November 7th for a pre-trial hearing.
