Chandler Works To ‘Get Out The Vote’ Election Eve
Congressman Ben Chandler (D-KY) made his rounds in Kentucky’s sixth district in a final bid to get people to vote Monday.
The incumbent spent most of his time asking constituents to ‘get the vote out’, as opposed to the kind of campaigning that’s traditionally seen on election eve.
However, several supporters–including Governor Steve Beshear, former UK basketball coach Joe B. Hall, and Attorney General Jack Conway–gave speeches at rallies to campaign for Chandler.
The congressman narrowly won his seat in 2010 against Andy Barr (R-KY), and the 2012 election up until Monday (again, against Andy Barr) has been filled with television ads morning, noon, and night.
In the end, Chandler wanted to remind voters of his ability to do the job.
"My experience outweighs the experience of my opponent dramatically," said Chandler.
