Centre College two-time national champion sprinter JP Vaught still hungry
LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – Centre College sprinter JP Vaught is only a sophomore, but he’s already found himself in the Centre College Track and Field record book.
This past spring, Vaught won both the 100 meter and 200 meter dash at the NCAA Division III Championships. Vaught is only the fifth Centre athlete ever to win multiple national championships. It’s important note Vaught did this in the SAME meet as a sophomore.
It is also the first time since 2014 an athlete has swept the 100m and 200m at the NCAA Championships.
Even with those accomplishments, Vaught says he is nowhere near done. ABC 36’s Austin Miller caught up with Vaught to talk about his aspirations.
