Central Kentucky PGA tournament moves to Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The PGA TOUR has announced that starting in 2025, the ISCO Championship will be held at the Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville. This move marks a significant new chapter for the tournament.
In a release from the PGA TOUR, Tyler Dennis, PGA TOUR Chief Competitions Officer, emphasized the importance of the event in Kentucky. “By bringing the tournament to Hurstbourne Country Club, we are showcasing yet another premier Kentucky golf venue on the world stage,” he said.
Governor Andy Beshear highlighted the event’s potential to boost local economies and celebrate Kentucky’s culture. “This event underscores Kentucky’s growing influence in professional sports and provides an opportunity for Kentucky to once again be at center stage,” Beshear stated in the release.
The tournament, with a purse of $4 million and 300 FedExCup points for the champion, promises to bring world-class golf to Kentucky, said the release. England’s Harry Hall won the 2024 edition held at Champions at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville.
It is estimated that the ISCO Championship generates more than $20 million annually in economic impact to Kentucky.
