Cawood Ledford’s widow, Frances, dead at 90
HARLAN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Frances Ledford, widow of the legendary radio voice of the Kentucky Wildcats, Cawood Ledford, died Sunday night in Harlan, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.
She was 90-years old. The funeral for the Lynch-native is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, June 21, in Harlan, according to the published report.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cawood Ledford Boys and Girls Club in Harlan or to a project to name a room for Cawood Ledford at the public library in Harlan, according to the newspaper.
