Cats fall to Kansas State in Sweet 16

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kansas State was in early foul trouble, but it didn’t matter.  The Manhattan Wildcats took down Kentucky 61-58 in Atlanta to advance to the Elite 8.

Xavier Sneed’s game-high 22 points propelled K-State past UK for the first time in program history.  State was previously 0-9 against Kentucky all-time.

PJ Washington led the way for UK with a team-high 18 points and 15 rebounds, but missed 12 of his 20 free throws on the night that contributed to the loss.

More to come on Good Morning Kentucky.
