Catholic Action Center readies Christmas store to FCPS students in need

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Catholic Action Center is decking the halls with its 28th annual Faith and Community Christmas Store.

Instead of giving out gifts, volunteers will put all their efforts into making sure homeless students in Fayette County will open up brand-new presents this holiday season.

“When everyone wakes up on Christmas morning, to know that it’s because of our community and the compassion that there are many, many folks who would normally wake up without will be able to celebrate this sacred time of year,” said CAC Director Ginny Ramsey.

This year the store is partnering with the McKinney-Vento program of Fayette County Public Schools, which provides resources for homeless students.
