Catholic Action Center begins requiring and providing Hepatitis A vaccine
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – On the same day the Catholic Action Center began requiring those staying to have a hepatitis A vaccination, the Health Department was there providing the vaccine for free.
“By being proactive, we’re able to stave off that, we hope. We couldn’t have done that without the Health Department,” said Ginny Ramsey with the Catholic Action Center.
Last week, over 150 people came to the center to get vaccinated. The Catholic Action Center believes over 240 have been vaccinated since making the announcement.
The Catholic Action Center began the requiring the vaccine after the recent hepatitis A outbreak in Louisville and across Kentucky.
