Casey County crash kills 1, injures 3

LIBERTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – One man is dead and and three people were injured following a wreck in Casey County.

Kentucky State Police say the accident happened just before 9 p.m. on Kentucky 70 near Liberty.

Troopers say 62-year-old David Bryant, of Liberty, crossed the centerline in his pickup and hit a KIA, being driven by 19-year-old Madison Dobson of Campbellsville.

Dobson’s car hit a guardrail, while Bryant’s pickup kept going, hitting another car head-on.

The car was being driven by 36-year-old Jeremiah Cooper, of Everson, Washington.

Bryant was pronounced dead at the scene by the Casey County Coroner.

Troopers say he was not wearing a seat-belt and they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Dobson was transported to Ephraim McDowell in Danville.

Jeremiah Cooper and his wife, Stephanie Cooper, were airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital.

The couple’s 4-year-old child was not injured.
