Carter County fast food worker diagnosed with hepatitis A
CARTER COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Carter County Health Department says it is investigating a hepatitis A case involving a fast food worker.
According to the department, an employee at McDonald’s on Carol Malone Boulevard in Grayson was diagnosed with hepatitis A on Saturday, May 26.
The department say its investigation found the risk of customers being infected is very low and that all employees, including the infected employee, received the Hepatitis A vaccination.
The restaurant closed following the diagnosis to disinfect.
The health department says McDonald’s is working closely with health officials to prevent any new cases.
