Carnegie’s Black History Month celebration continues

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning continues Black History Month with virtual celebrations.

According to the center, there are three ways to celebrate:

1. Mailed Activity Kits that include a copy of Bintou’s Braids by Sylvianne Diouf (limited quantity)

2. Black artist video series featured on Carnegie’s YouTube page (NO Registration)

3.  Young Black Voices Contest (deadline to submit is Feb. 28, 2021) for ages 5-17. We’re accepting pieces of writing or visual art focused on the topic of what your Black identity means to you.
