Caregiver accused of stealing from disabled veteran

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman hired to care for a disabled veteran is accused of stealing money from him.

Police arrested 42-year-old Glenda Moore Wednesday and charged her with knowingly exploiting an adult.

According to court documents, the victim filed a report with police on April 2, saying a caretaker fraudulently used his debit card.

The victim stated he would give Moore his debit card so she could buy him food and personal items.

He says he then saw unauthorized transactions on his account totaling $1,744, according to documents.

Police say they were able to obtain images from Chase Bank ATM’s and Walmart transactions during the dates in question and the same woman could be seen making those transactions.

The victim identified the woman in the images as Moore.
