Care taker charged with abusing babies

State Police say a Madison County babysitter hurt two infants she was suppose to be taking care of.  Troopers say, 34, Bessie Perkins of Richmond was arrested on Tuesday. State Police say she abused the babies on several occasions.

The investigation started after the parents sought medical attention for the infants’ injuries. She was charged with criminal abuse 1st degree. She is lodged in the Madison county detention center.
