Car hits utility pole next to Lexington fire station

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – First responders didn’t have to go far to help a driver who hit a utility pole Monday night because it happened right next to a Lexington fire station.

The accident happened at Fire Station #3 on Merino Street just after 10:30 p.m., according to firefighters.

Lexington Police told us, firefighters say the driver had a medical emergency. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Kentucky Utilities was called to the scene to replace the damaged pole.
