Car crashes while fleeing after gunshots, man found shot

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police are investigating a series of events believed to be related.

According to police, officers in the area of Versailles Road and Oxford Circle in Lexington heard gunshots and saw a car fleeing just after midnight.

Police say the car was exiting onto New Circle from Versailles Road when it crashed. Three men fled from the car.

Police say that while using a K-9 unit, officers found a man and a juvenile nearby.

According to police, a few minutes after the gunshots were heard, an officer found a man with a gunshot at the Marathon gas station on Oxford Circle.

The victim has non-life threatening injuries.
