Car crashes into Lexington home
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Around 10:30 Tuesday morning, the Lexington Fire Department says a woman was driving down Easthills Drive, just off Man O’ War Blvd., when she attempted to make a u-turn. The fire department says the woman hit and mail box and then kept going.
Major C.J. Tackett said, "I don’t know if she got distracted or lost control of the vehicle, but obviously it did not end well."
The woman then ran into the front of the Beasley family’s home. The couple and their two grandsons were home, one which was sleeping in the room that was hit by the car.
The fire department was able to remove the car from the home and determined the home was stable and safe. As a precaution, they placed two temporary supports near where the car hit before a crew started to repair the wall.
The family and the driver of the car were not injured in the accident.
