Vigil planned in London to honor Doug Harless, 10 months after deadly police shooting

LONDON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The London community is coming together Thursday night to remember Doug Harless, ten months after he was shot and killed in his own home.

A candlelight vigil is planned for 7:30 p.m. in front of the London Police Department, where friends, family, and community members will honor his memory and continue calling for accountability.

Organizers say there has been no public report or update from Kentucky State Police since the deadly incident last December. They are urging transparency and answers about what steps have been taken to prevent another tragedy.

The shooting happened when London Police officers mistakenly executed a search warrant at the wrong home on December 23, 2024.
