Can Cauley-Stein Be The Best Big Man in the Country?

With Alex Poythress out for the season, there’s now just one junior left on the UK men’s basketball roster.

Willie Cauley-Stein was not a McDonald’s All-American.  There are nine guys who are Cats with that distinction, and if you were to regrade them now, WCS would definitely be one of the nine you select.

But the star UK big man was not always this good.  In fact, it’s taken until now to see just how good Cauley-Stein can be. 

15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks…that’s the box score line for Willie Cauley-Stein against North Carolina.

The junior is a motor man now and nothing is outside his realm.

Roughly a week ago, WCS said he didn’t even think he was that good until he saw pictures where half of his body was above everyone else’s.

Now, the sky is the limit, and everything seems to be in Cauley-Stein’s wheelhouse.
