Camps Set In Advance of Saturday’s UK Game
A cold brat and some cold hands complimented conversation about the Cats among a group of guys looking forward to an early start Saturday morning.
"As far as the game goes you know the big thing is just Alex Poythress’ injury it’s been the big news throughout today and last night. So that’s what the main conversation about the game tomorrow has been today," said one camper.
Armed with hats, gloves and lawn chairs, those camping out in UK’s tent city had done everything from go to work, to studying for finals which they’ll take next week.
"It was cold, this heater kind of helped us some but whenever it ran out of gas every three or four hours it got really cold really fast."
A warm tent was welcome as were warm smiles. Just feet away, two more people were getting set up for a chilly night. They said after years of camping for the zone they finally got it right.
"Uh, we’re not really sure what we’re going to put yet but probably something for Alex since we’re pretty bummed that he’s out for the year and Damien Harris is taking his official visit tomorrow so we want to put something on there for him and then we love Dominique Hawkins so we’re always trying to support him, that’s probably about it."
Students can start lining up for the zone Saturday morning at 5AM.
