LCA graduate killed in murder-suicide in Kansas

SHAWNEE, Kansas (WTVQ) – A former Lexington Christian Academy and Campbellsville University women’s basketball player was killed in Kansas in what police say was a murder-suicide.

Police in Shawnee, Kansas say 27-year-old Courtney Bivins was shot and killed by 34-year-old Joshua Mobley.

Mobley then shot himself.

The two were found Sunday.

Police say Bivins and Mobley were close friends.

Bivins played for Campbellsville University and graduated in 2013.

She also played for Western Kentucky University from 2009-2010.
