Call for preservation leader nominations
These awards are to honor the efforts of Kentuckians who have excelled in preserving the Commonwealth’s heritage, both in rural and urban communities.
“It’s important to recognize excellence in preservation,” said executive director Betsy Hatfield, “because these successes are inspirational, encouraging reminders of how historic preservation strengthens communities, fosters economic development, and helps maintain and create jobs. Preservation is good business. It’s about placemaking on both a personal and collective level. It’s good for our economy, our quality of life and our community identity.”
