Call center in Laurel County laying off 99 people

CUMBERLANDS, Ky. (WTVQ) – Nearly 100 people who work in a call center in Laurel County are being laid-off in April.

In a letter to the state, Conduent Federal Solutions says it’s letting 99 people go on or around April 25, 2020.

The company says the reasoning behind the layoffs is a “change in business needs of a client.”

Conduent laid-off around 97 people last Spring.
