Cal Says Players Must Always Come First

We’ve heard it many times from John Calipari…the UK basketball program is a players first destination…even in bad times.

Cal’s joked that during the off-season when someone asks him about losing in the NIT, his response of being beaten by Robert Morris is usually met with "One guy?"

No one likes to lose, but it’s part of college basketball and Cal’s way of showing Solid Blue fans that even when the team hits a slump year, if you want to bring in the top crop every season, it’s beter to be players first because his guys still succeed.
