Bus catches fire, closes part of Interstate 75

ERLANGER, Ky. (AP) — Part of Interstate 75 south has reopened after a small bus caught fire and forced the shutdown of several lanes.

Erlanger fire officials told The Kentucky Enquirer (http://cin.ci/1sPC9B8 ) the fire started at about 11:40 a.m. EDT Wednesday near the intersection with Interstate 275.

The driver, who was the only occupant, made it out unharmed.

Fire officials are unsure what caused the bus to burst into flames, but say the blaze was extinguished in about 15 minutes.

The two right lanes of the highway remained closed Wednesday afternoon.
