Burkesville man accused of making bomb threat at justice center
BURKESVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Cumberland County man was arrested Thursday after State Police say he made a bomb threat at the county justice center.
Investigators say three first responder’s received a text message stating there was a bomb in the Cumberland County Justice Center.
The building was evacuated and closed along Main Street and surrounding area, according to KSP.
The center was searched and cleared by State Police along with a KSP K-9. No bomb or threats were found, according to State Police.
The road was reopened around 2:30 p.m. CST.
State Police say 28-year old Joshua Norris, of Burkesville, was arrested and charged with nine counts of Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree. He was lodged in the Adair County Jail.
