Burglary Victim Arrested After Police Discover Drugs
Lexington Police responded to a burglary alarm at a home business early Tuesday morning. When they arrived, they said they found dozens of marijuana plants growing inside.
It happened at Advanced Video Services on North Broadway.
Police said the homeowner, Mark Cascio, 55, was at work when officers arrived and found that someone had broken into his home through a window.
When police entered the house, they said they found nearly three dozen marijuana plants and a large amount of equipment to grow the plants.
Police said the drugs were found on the home’s second floor, the basement and a small building behind the home.
Cascio was arrested and charged with cultivating marijuana.
Police said they have no suspects in the burglary that originally brought them to the home.
