Brothers Sell Lemonade To Help Fellow Students

Gryffin Frank and his younger brother Kiayl both go to Rosa Parks Elementary School in Lexington.

They spent their weekend setting up and running a lemonade stand at Jacobson Park.

While Kiayl ran the stand, Gryffin went up to families at the park to sell them cups of lemonade and explain why they were trying to earn money.

By the end of the weekend, the duo earned $75 dollars, but didn’t spend it on themselves.

They chose to donate it to their school, which is raising money to build onto its playground.

The current playground is not handicap accessible, so not everyone can play on it with their friends.

The proposed $55,000 addition to the playground will add features like wider ramps.

Gryffin said, "I feel bad for these kids who have disabilities who can’t play on a playground."

So far, about half of the funds have been raised, thanks in part to the Frank brothers.
