Broken power pole to cause service interruption in 3 counties

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A broken power pole will leave at least 560 Blue Grass Energy customers in Harrison, Robertson and Nicholas Counties without power Thursday night.

Blue Grass Energy says crews discovered a broken three-phase pole in a remote area.

The company announced on its Facebook page that, in order to make the necessary repairs to the pole, crews must shut off power.

The outage is expected to start at 11 p.m. Thursday.

Blue Grass Energy says because crews will need to get equipment in and out of the site, it is not able to estimate how long the outage will last.
