Broadway and Third Street shots fired investigation
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington Police are investigating a late-night shooting that left one person injured.
According to the department, officers were called to the area of Broadway and Third Street around 10:30 p.m. Thursday for reports of shots fired. When they arrived, officers say they didn’t find any victims or property damage, but they did locate shell casings at the scene.
Then, around midnight, a person who had been shot showed up at a local hospital with what police describe as a minor gunshot injury.
Investigators are working to determine whether the injury is connected to the earlier shots fired call. The search for a suspect is ongoing.
