‘Breathitt Rising’ benefit concerts Friday and Saturday

BREATHITT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Breathitt County continues to rebuild from February and March flooding. And another ‘Breathitt Rising’ benefit concert this weekend will help.

The concerts are 6-10 p.m. Friday and 4-10 p.m. Saturday at the Mike Holcomb Athletic Complex in Jackson. Two-day admission tickets are $20, and $10 for ages 16 and under. Children under 6 are free and veterans and first responders also are free with ID.

The concerts feature a top line up of regional talen.

Friday night includes Dusty Collins, Kentucky Music Mafia, Randy Woody, Taylor Paix Hernly, and Honey Wright.

Saturday includes Jesse Keith Whitley, Wes Shipp, Jess Wall, Hayden Powell, Reed Gilliam, and Ashton Brett Dunn.

Sponsors include StateFarm, StepStone and the American Legion.

No presale tickets. Wristbands available at gate on each day of show. Concessions will be available.

Proceeds will go toward building supplies and other needed items for flood victims.
