She'll replace Kim Caldwell, who was hired at Tennessee
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – DIII Coach Juli Fulks, of Transylvania University, is headed to Marshall University, where she will take over the women’s basketball program.
The school made the announcement on its website this morning (4/12).
“There is no doubt the impact that Coach Fulks has had during her time here.” Vice President of Athletics Holly Sheilley said. “National Champions, 64 game winning streak, National Coach of the year, and the accolades go on. However, even without any of those, Juli is a phenomenal human being that you realize you are blessed to know. No words will explain how much we will miss her, but we are excited for her and know that this next chapter in her life will be exceptional. She will always have a home at Transylvania.”
Fulks has been Head Coach at Transy for 10 seasons. In that time, she won 242 games.
According to the University, the team finished the 2022 regular season unbeaten, reaching the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time in program history.
Transylvania won the University’s first National Championship in 2023, in an undefeated 33-0 season. Fulks was named d3hoops.com co-DIII Coach of the year.
At Marshall, Fulks replaces Kim Caldwell, who left for the Head Coaching job for the Lady Vols at Tennessee.
