UPDATE: Knox Co. murder suspect in custody in KY

GRAY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State Police say 24-year old Phillip Lee Lewis is now in custody in Knox County after being brought from Michigan where he was recently arrested. He’s in jail in Knox County on a $1 million full cash bond. Lewis is charged with murder and robbery.
In Federal Court on Monday, federal charges were dropped without prejudice, which means the charges could be brought up again at a later date. The federal charges were dropped because Lewis will first face charges in state court, according to officials.

GRAY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a suspect wanted for a murder and robbery in Knox County is now in custody.
Police say 24-year-old Phillip Lee Lewis was arrested in Flint, Michigan on Friday afternoon.
Lewis is accused of shooting 25-year-old Gary Medlin at the A&B Quick Stop in Gray on January 16.
Investigators say Lewis was robbing the store when Medlin, who was a customer, tried to run and Lewis shot him.
According to police, Lewis will remain in custody in Flint, Michigan until he can be brought back to Kentucky.
