BREAKING: Scott County coroner indicted by grand jury
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The coroner for Scott County was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday.
Coroner John Goble is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, one count of abuse of public trust, one count of possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone), and two counts of official misconduct.
Kentucky State Police announced in January it was investigating Goble.
Two other people who were indicted along with Goble – Mike Crawford and Robert Harris – worked for Kentucky State Police.
Goble has been the coroner for Scott County for 20 years and was re-elected in the May primary election.
