UPDATE: Injuries reported after explosion at Lexington business

UPDATE: (5/30/18, 8:55 a.m.) – The Lexington Fire Department says two people were injured following an explosion at the UPS distribution center on Blue Sky Parkway Wednesday morning.

The fire department says the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

The department says 10 more people are expected to be taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The cause of the explosion is still unknown.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fire crews are on the scene of a reported explosion in Lexington.

According to the Lexington Fire Department, the explosion happened at the Blue Sky Parkway UPS freight and distribution center at 7:44 a.m. Wednesday.

There is no word yet on the extent of the damage or if there are any injuries.

ABC 36 has a crew headed to the scene and will have an update.
