BREAKING: KSP looking for man in connection to Pikeville officer’s death

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are searching for a man wanted for questioning in the death of a Pikeville police officer.

Scotty Hamilton was shot to death Tuesday evening while searching near a home on Hurricane Creek.

Investigators announced they have an arrest warrant out for 55-year-old John Russell Hall for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

They say they want to question him in connection to Hamilton’s murder.

State Police say Hall should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone who spots him needs to call 911 immediately.
